Cranberry Pear Gin Fizz

We've got a pretty fun Shrubbie for you this week, it's one of those layered drinks that keeps developing on your pallet. Nice and fruity up front with some nice heat from the ginger beer that comes in at the end. This weeks Shrubbie felt perfect to us for this time of year. As the holidays are right around the corner, we couldn't think of a better way to accent the festivities than with some nice drinks.

This will go well right before a meal or after a slice of pie. The balance of sweet and heat are nicely balanced in this drink, and obviously the naturally occurring probiotics are a nice little digestive aid.  

Cranberry Pear Gin Fizz

Ready in 5 minutes

Serves 1 drink


  • 1 ½ oz Gin
  • ½ oz Cranberry Orange Shrub
  • 5 Fresh/Frozen(thawed) Cranberries
  • 3 Slices Pear
  • 1 tsp Fresh Lime Juice
  • 2-4 oz Ginger Beer
  • Garnish with some Cranberries or Orange Slice


  1. Muddle the pear and cranberries together in a cocktail shaker.
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients except for the ginger beer into the shaker.
  3. Add ice into the cocktail shaker and shake until the drink is very cold.
  4. Strain or double strain the Shrubbie into your desired glass.
  5. Top off with ginger beer.
  6. Add desired garnish.
  7. Circle this looker of a Shrubbie and dive right in!


Double straining isn’t absolutely necessary, but it will remove any solids that will end up in the drink if you only strain with a Hawthorne strainer.
