Crème de Cassis isn’t something you see in a ton of drinks, but sure does add a lot of flavor. It’s a blackcurrant liqueur which is really quite affordable. Plus it lasts awhile so the El Diablo makes for a great occasion to pick up a bottle today. Blackcurrants are grape-like black berries, strong with dark berry flavor. Crème de Cassis features them so well, and a little bit goes a long way in this drink. The El Diablo is refreshing and deep, with our Raspberry Coriander shrub playing off of the other components perfectly. The tequila is featured well here with the agave notes pairing well with the acidity and spice.  

RECIPE

El Diablo


Ready in 3 minutes

Serves 1 drink


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz Reposado Tequila
  • ½ oz Raspberry Coriander Shrub
  • ½ oz Crème de Cassis(black currant liqueur)
  • ½ oz Lime Juice
  • 2 oz Ginger Beer
  • Optional Lime Wedge Garnish

Preparation

  1. Add tequila, crème de cassis, and lime juice into a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Shake until very cold.
  3. Strain into a glass over fresh ice.
  4. Add ginger beer.
  5. Garnish.
  6. Enjoy with gusto.
