This cocktail is a great combination of a warm and cool weather drink. The spicy ginger honey simple syrup is balanced well with the shrub, ginger ale, and pear juice. The drink will vary in flavor based on which bourbon you choose to use, but the cocktail will always have that belly warming quality. We couldn’t find any plain pear juice in any stores last minute so we just opted for making our own with a juicer at home. The end product was delicious but required us to double strain the cocktail into the glass for clarity. If you’re able to find some plain old pear juice off the shelf then a single strain should suffice. We placed the previous tidbit here to warn people that are making their own juice to make enough for a few drinks, because this is one heck of a cocktail!
