The Negroni is different from most cocktails as one of the main flavors is bitter. The wonderful Campari component is either what keeps people coming back for more, or never getting another. Traditionally made with gin we’ve substituted a gold rum in to soften some of the harsher notes of the original cocktail. The rum helps to sweeten the drink in the beginning and dampen the following bitter components. Our Raspberry Coriander Shrub further adds to the sweet vermouth and rum dynamics.


The Raspberry Rum Negroni is extremely easy to throw together, you don’t even need to shake it! Just build over ice and stir. As you work your way through this drink, the bitter notes will get tamer as you go from dilution. We’re huge fans of cocktails that evolve over time! And saying that out loud feels extremely nerdy…

Raspberry Rum Negroni


Ready in 3 minutes

Serves 1 drink


Ingredients


Preparation

  1. Place ice(big cubes are the best!) into your glass.
  2. Pour each of your ingredients over the ice.
  3. Stir for 20-30 seconds to get everything combined and cold.
  4. Express orange peel over drink, then add to the glass.
  5. Get this bad boy under some lighting to really admire the beautiful color!
  6. Stop admiring said bad boy and dive in!
